This section highlights my teaching experience and facilitation strategies that prioritize active learning, social-emotional growth, and academic success. It demonstrates how theory has informed practice, especially during my hands-on fieldwork, intervention programs, and workshop facilitation. Each example below showcases techniques I’ve developed and implemented to create inclusive and engaging learning spaces.

Thesis Statement Lesson for Grades 7–9 – Delivered a virtual session on developing strong thesis statements. Focused on improving writing clarity, structure, and argumentation strategies.

Education Fieldwork

Peer Facilitator – AUx Program: Led workshops and group discussions focused on identity development, academic readiness, and interpersonal skills. Guided first-year students in transitioning successfully to university life and navigating academic expectations.
7th Grade Summer Law and SEL Teacher: Developed and taught a curriculum that blended legal studies with SEL principles. Designed lessons focused on mock trials, collaborative debates, and leadership activities to help students build problem-solving skills, emotional regulation, and teamwork.
Academic Interventionist: Delivered focused instruction in reading, writing, and math to 4th and 5th graders identified as at risk of retention. Conducted assessments, created intervention plans, monitored progress, and provided targeted strategies to support academic growth and boost confidence.
Substitute Teacher: Managed diverse classrooms across multiple grade levels, executing lesson plans and designing supplemental activities to maintain classroom engagement. Focused on fostering an inclusive and structured environment while promoting academic growth.
Pre-K STEM Facilitator: Introduced early STEM concepts through hands-on activities and inquiry-based learning. Encouraged problem-solving and critical thinking by leading experiments and group projects that developed curiosity and foundational science skills.
2nd–5th Grade EBD Paraprofessional: Supported students with emotional and behavioral disabilities by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), providing academic interventions, and creating behavior management systems. Collaborated with teachers and counselors to adapt lesson plans, track student progress, and address behavioral challenges through structured plans and interventions.
